Skilled Independent visa (subclass 189) — Points-tested stream
A permanent skilled visa for invited workers who do not need an employer or state sponsor. Applicants must nominate an eligible occupation, hold a suitable skills assessment, satisfy the points test, and be invited to apply.
Federal Skilled Worker Program
A federal permanent-residence pathway for skilled workers with foreign work experience. Candidates must satisfy the Federal Skilled Worker minimum requirements and score at least 67 out of 100 selection-factor points before competing for an invitation through Express Entry.
EU Blue Card
A German residence route for qualified professionals with an employment contract or binding job offer, recognized or comparable higher education, and the applicable gross annual salary threshold. The official page also describes special rules for some IT professionals without a formal qualification.
Top Talent Pass Scheme
A Hong Kong talent admission route with Category A for high annual income, Categories B and C for graduates of eligible universities, and no Hong Kong job offer required at initial application.

Skilled Worker visa
A UK work and residence route for an eligible job with an approved employer, a certificate of sponsorship, the required salary, and English-language ability. GOV.UK says the visa can last up to five years and may support settlement after five years when the other conditions are met.
H-1B Specialty Occupations
A US employer-sponsored nonimmigrant classification for services in a specialty occupation requiring highly specialized knowledge and a directly related bachelor’s degree or equivalent. USCIS describes an employer petition, a certified Labor Condition Application, and an electronic registration process for cap-subject cases.
