Skilled Worker visa
A UK work and residence route for an eligible job with an approved employer, a certificate of sponsorship, the required salary, and English-language ability. GOV.UK says the visa can last up to five years and may support settlement after five years when the other conditions are met.
Student visa
A UK study route for an eligible course with a licensed student sponsor, enough money for the course and living costs, and English-language ability. GOV.UK says degree-level study for adults can usually support up to five years, and many graduates later switch to a Graduate visa for temporary post-study work.
Graduate visa
A temporary UK post-study work route for people already in the UK on a Student or Tier 4 (General) visa who successfully complete an eligible UK course. It is not extendable, but GOV.UK says you may later switch to another visa such as Skilled Worker.
